A versatile female artist based out of Kansas City, Missouri; raised in Rolla, Missouri, Kay V uses real life stories and experiences and turns them into musical masterpieces ranging from mental health awareness to fun-loving moments in life. She is currently working with 2x platinum award winning engineer, Eric “Studio E” Surratt. Affiliated with 7x Grammy award winning, Brian Kennedy and 2x platinum award winning rapper @SleazyWorld Go.
Kay V grew up in the small town of Rolla, Missouri, but eventually relocated to Kansas City. Music has always been a part of her life as she grew up singing in choirs and winning local and national singing competitions throughout her adolescence. Kay V first got into the music scene of Kansas City in 2018 at Midrange Music Recording Studios. This is where she first began writing and recording her own music. She released her first R&B single Be With Me in 2020. After her first release, she decided to take a year to work on her craft. Singing many different genres, eventually discovering her passion for Pop Music.
Kay V released her first hip-hop/pop EP LIVE AND LEARN in 2022, building her fan base organically she released her single MONSTER in August of 2023, Spooky Pop album SHADOWS in October of 2023, starting the year 2024 off with January’s rock/pop single Revenge and going into the month of February with her R&B pop hit Fallin’ Like a Fool.
Kay V excels in the genre of Pop Music, but also has a wide variety of genres in her upcoming releases; ranging from pop, rock, hip-hop, indie/alternative, and country.
